Holz 2022 the Swiss trade fair kicked off today and welcome all to present trends and product innovations for woodworking. The fair is scheduled from October 11 to 15 at Messe Basel, Switzerland. In addition to the rich exhibition offer, visitors to Holz will once again discover a varied accompanying program this year as well as numerous highlights. The woodworking sector captivates with its tradition and passion for craftsmanship, but it is also innovative: it sets trends and benefits from a very talented succession. This year, some 35,000 visitors are expected and will be able to look forward to a high-level exhibition offer, but also to the various highlights that will accompany the trade show.
Experts from the Swiss woodworking industry once again came together this year at Holz in Basel and introduced the trending topics, namely Novelties and innovations, Digitization, automation, future together and focus on raw materials & sustainability. During the five-day fair, around 300 exhibitors present themselves on 45,000 m2 and introduced new products and innovations. In addition, the varied accompanying program shows what moves the industry beyond that. It is unique that the professional world championships for cabinet makers, joiners and carpenters are held as part of the oldest trade fair in Switzerland.
For four days the event will address various important topics on woodworking and manufacturing such as innovation in wood as a contribution to decarbonisation, digital manufacturing, circular economy.
HOMAG Switzerland, the Fair’s principal partner, will again be present with an XXL exhibition stand. Within a space of more than 1,000 square metres, over a dozen wood processing machines await visitors. HOMAG experts will be on hand to discuss software, automation and digital networking solutions and give advice to both artisans and industry with respect to services, training courses and more.
