Only circular saw blades specially designed for plastics achieve good quality and tool life. LEUCO offers three circular saw blades that are a very good solution for every type of plastic.
With four circular saw blades, carpenters master the challenges that arise from the increasing use of plastics in furniture and kitchens. Because plastics are very different. For example, thermoplastics such as polycarbonate and polystyrene easily get too warm and melt when sawing, while thermosets tend to tear out.
Leuco unveils saw blades for managing plastics
Plastics – The “Plastics” saw blade processes all transparent PMMA panels (e.g. Plexiglas), as well as transparent polystyrene panels (Wattolene). It also saws solid polycarbonate (PC) panels, available among others as Lexan and Makrolon. LEUCO g5 system
The sizing circular saw blade “G5” saws sheets made of polycarbonate with low wall thickness, for example twin-wall sheets , in the best quality. Light and brittle sheets made of extruded polystyrene can also be processed very well with it. They are common among Brands like Danopren and Efyos.
Solid Surface
“Solid Surface” is a saw blade tailored to hard and abrasive thermosetting plastics. High-pressure laminates (HPL) can be sawed quickly and in very good quality with this blade. It is ideally suited for use as a solid surface well-known mineral panels, after which LEUCO also named this saw blade. Such panels are available under brand names such as Avonite, Corian, Hi-Macs and Varicor.
Anti-Fingerprint
This saw blade provides excellent cutting quality in “anti-fingerprint” materials and for conventional plastics. The convex tooth flanks prevent scoring on the cut surfaces and flaring of the surfaces of sensitive materials.
