Zeller+Gmelin, the Eislingen-based lubricant specialist and solution provider, will be presenting its broad product portfolio of wood release agents to the trade public at LIGNA in Hanover. Whether OSB or fibreboard, the release agents of the Multiboard brand cover a wide field of the wood industry, in particular also the specially developed Multiboard FP 1500 for the wood-based materials industry.

With meanwhile more than seven hundred different industrial lubricants, Zeller+Gmelin has long since proven its competence and innovative strength also in the wood-based panel industry. “Under the brand name Multiboard, we have a wide selection of high-quality release agents for the woodworking industry in our range,” emphasises Markus Mühleisen, Product Manager Wood Release Agents at Zeller + Gmelin.

Focus on spray and rotor applications

The direct line to the development department speaks of the close proximity to the customer. Each product in the Multiboard range is developed to fit a customer’s specific manufacturing process. This ultimately leads to a broad portfolio in this area. That is why about 20 percent of the employees at the headquarters in Eislingen work in research and development. For the production of OSB, MDF and fibreboard, a wide range of release agents is available, independent of the gluing system, which are used in both spray and rotor applications.

Separate wood chipboard correctly

Zeller+Gmelin has developed “Multiboard FP 1500” to meet the specific requirements of the wood-based panel industry. The wood release agent is preferably used in the industrial production of MDF boards. According to the manufacturer, the product has excellent wetting properties and excellent storage stability. In addition, it is free of substances that interfere with lacquer wetting. The release agent is applied by spraying or by means of rotor application. “With this product, our customers benefit from first-class separation performance, where even the smallest application quantities are sufficient,” explains Markus Mühleisen.
