Siempelkamp continues international networking

 Monday, August 2, 2021

International networking continues for Siempelkamp as IHK and representatives of the Indian Consulate General visit their office and requested to know the Middle Lower Rhine region with all its economic advantages and challenges. They arranged a visit to Krefeld, where Siempelkamp was welcome on the agenda. On July 27th, common interests and visions, for example on topics such as sustainability and resource efficiency, were discussed on the premises of the Krefeld company.

Accompanied by Jürgen Steinmetz, General Manager IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein, and Stefan Enders, IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein, Consul General Dr. Amit Telang and Consul Ram Kumar with their marketing specialist Ressy Ann Mathew in Siempelkampstrasse. A common level was quickly found, because Siempelkamp has had intensive and successful business relationships with plant operators in India for decades, especially in the field of metal forming and the wood-based materials industry. In addition, the company operates two locations in India and is therefore firmly established in the region.

At the beginning of the visit, Samiron Mondal, Managing Director of Siempelkamp Maschinenund Anlagenbau GmbH, and Head of Commercial Sales Marc Müller presented the core competencies of the Siempelkamp Group. The Indian delegation was particularly interested in Siempelkamp’s successful commitment to making annual plants such as rice or wheat straw usable in the wood-based materials industry. With this visionary concept, the Krefeld company is meeting the challenges posed by climate change and the shortage of wood – waste materials are becoming a valuable raw material. Especially for countries like India, whose wood resources are limited, this concept is currently a much-noticed solution. Another topic of discussion was Siempelkamp’s services in the area of the dismantling of nuclear facilities.

A tour of the Siempelkamp machine factory and the Siempelkamp technical center rounded off the delegation’s visit to Krefeld. This also made it possible to clearly understand the day-to-day business in practice on the company premises in Krefeld. The guests were pleased to note a small but fine nuance on the day of their visit: When international delegations are expected at Siempelkamp, they are greeted by their respective national flag – a sign of respect not only for customers, but also for interested visitors, as on July 27th!
