“Ambience without compromise” is the motto of hüma PARKETTSYSTEM GmbH. The young, Brandenburg-based company produces a highly robust, real wood parquet flooring, specially designed – amongst other applications – for use in damp and wet areas. With their vision of developing parquet flooring that can be used in all living spaces, the company’s three founders filled a genuine gap and were quickly able to persuade the right investors to get behind them. The necessary specialist knowledge and a good network were already on hand. Parquet flooring is now being manufactured in Trebbin to the highest aesthetic and technical standards.
Thanks to the new, plastic-based joint geometry, the hüma SNAPCON and the most innovative surface finishing agent, the aesthetically pleasing and timeless qualities of wood can be enjoyed without any restriction in virtually all flooring in living and dining spaces. The transitions between areas commonly seen in the past no longer exist; for example, open-plan kitchens are integrated perfectly into the overall concept. Bathrooms can also now be fitted with real wood that offers warmth under foot. Sheer pleasure and nature at its purest combined. The parquet flooring is 100% waterproof and is incredibly easy to lay. Quick, clean and secure – everything is vertical, in accordance with the key-and-lock principle. The material does not need any further treatment, offers high resistance and is easy to care for. Thanks to its coloured joints, hüma offers particular design accents and gives scope for personalised design.
The company’s founders, Felix Hüllenkremer, Manuel Mannheim and Matthias Kühn (two civil engineers specialising in wood and a business IT specialist) were inspired by sailing and the decks of yachts, which are fitted with teak decking. hüma combines injection moulding technology with the manufacture of real wood parquet flooring to produce an innovative locking geometry, and offers unique solutions for bathrooms, kitchens, saunas, terraces, swimming pools, restaurants and event venues. In 2016, the creative and growing company will present its hüma PARQUET FLOORING SYSTEM at numerous industry trade fairs.
