FFI Federation reshuffles its organisation

maritMaarit Lindström (PhD) has been appointed Director and Chief Economist of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation as of January 26, 2017. She will also become a member of the Executive Board of the federation.

 

Lindström takes up the new position after working as an economist for OP Financial Group. Before this, Lindström has acted as a Director of industrial and economic lobbying and as the Chief Economist in the Finland Chamber of Commerce. She has also worked in the Prime Minister’s Office in the secretariat of the Economic Council and as a researcher for ETLA Research Institute of the Finnish Economy and Etlatieto Ltd.

 

evaEeva Korolainen (LL.M.) has been appointed Manger, Trade Policy for the Finnish Forest Industries Federation as of 16 January 2017. Korolainen takes on the role after working with legal questions related to commercial policy and investment agreements at EK Confederation of Finnish Industries. Before EK, Korolainen worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Commission.

The recruitment of Lindström and Korolainen sees two great additions to our team, deepening our expertise in questions related to economic and commercial policy and the related lobbying. In the future, we will also be more active in the public discourse related to these themes,” says Timo Jaatinen, Managing Director of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation.
