DIEFFENBACHER is all set to supply a high-end particleboard mill to Greenlam South Limited – a fully owned subsidiary of Greenlam Industries Limited with its headquarters in New Delhi, India, for its new manufacturing site. By the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2023–2024, commercial production of up to 265,000 m3 of particleboard annually is anticipated. The raw board handling system, the dryer, the CPS+ continuous press with press emission control system, and the forming station and forming line with prepress will all be provided by DIEFFENBACHER for the new factory. Engineering, electrics, and plant automation for the entire facility are also included, as well as the tested and incredibly adaptable Lukki raw board storage system.

“EVORIS is a real success story”

Greenlam’s new high-end particleboard plant will feature EVORIS, DIEFFENBACHER’s unique digital platform. “EVORIS will help us to understand and control our plant in a better and easier manner,” said UN Sarma, President – Manufacturing Chip Board & Engineering Services. “When DIEFFENBACHER introduced us to the EVORIS platform, we were immediately hooked. I strongly believe it is the future of wood-based panel production,” he concluded.

“EVORIS is a real success story,” stated Stefan Zipf, head of the Wood business unit at DIEFFENBACHER. “Since introducing the digital platform at LIGNA.Innovation Network in September 2021, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers and a large number of inquiries to implement EVORIS in new and existing plants. We are very happy that Greenlam South will be among the first companies to benefit from EVORIS.”

With more than 5,000 employees, a network of over 14,000 channel partners and a production capacity of 15.62 million sheets of HPL per annum, Greenlam is among the world’s top three producers of laminates. Saurabh Mittal, Managing Director & CEO at Greenlam Industries, said, “Our new DIEFFENBACHER particleboard plant marks our third production unit in India and puts us on a path to becoming a leading wood-panel producer in India.” Greenlam has 15 international offices and four international distribution centres from which it exports products to more than 100 countries. According to Stefan Zipf, manager of DIEFFENBACHER’s Wood business unit, since the introduction of digital platform at LIGNA.Innovation Network in September 2021, they have received overwhelmingly positive comments from clients and a sizable number of requests to use EVORIS in both new and current facilities. The company expressed its gladness that Greenlam South will be one of the first businesses to use EVORIS.
