Grecon FIBERVIEW allows an economical and objective assessment of the fiber quality in the running process. The measured values supplied by FIBERVIEW enable the operator of the refiner to produce a consistent fibre quality.

Using the patent pending Fiberview, the cooking and refining processes can beprecisely adjusted and the consumption of energy and the fibre quality thus be optimized. Especially in the case of complaints, concrete data is available whether the fibre quality was sufficient or not.

The next step is the regulation of the refiner via an automatic control loop. Thus, reaction times are reduced and further cost saving potentials can be realized. Fiberview is based on an imaging method. The surface of the passing fiber mat is continuously inspected by a line-scan camera with vertical illumination over a width of about 400 mm. Fiberview is already in operation at three major European wood based panel.

The formator has basically the automatic control loop to reduce material fluctuations in MDF panels. The Grecon Formator automatically reduces material fluctuations to a minimum. Thus the Formator fulfils an important pre-condition for a consistent product quality. The cost of production can be significantly reduced by reducing material consumption and reject.

The Formator not only minimizes material fluctuation within a production order, but also within the individual panel via an automatic control process.

The Formator has meanwhile more than proved itself in different pilot applications. The Formator is combination of Grecon Dieffensor and segmented scalper, two systems that established on the market.

For the first time ever, rubber now can now also be reliably recognized and eliminated in the wood chip flow. The wood chip cleaner CHIPINSPECTOR presented for the first time at LIGNA this year irradiates the complete raw material flow by means of a combination of low and high energetic X-radiation.

For the first time, also materials with the same area density such as, for example, wood and rubber can be reliably differentiated using this technology through the material-specific absorption behavior of organic materials.

With the CHPINSPECTOR, it is possible to identify contamination in the material flow independently of the composition of the surface or the moisture content of the raw material.
