At interzum 2019, the BMWi will again be supporting young companies at the leading international fair for the furniture and interior construction industries’ supplying sections. On offer is sponsorship for a presence at pavilions where new participants in the market can showcase their innovative products and solutions to an international audience.
As the leading international fair for suppliers to the furniture industry, interzum is an ideal platform for young companies to present their creative, new developments in product and process technology. The BMWi shares this view and has included the 2019 edition of the event in the portfolio of trade fairs worthy of support from the Ministry this year. Alongside certification by the FKM (the Society for the Voluntary Control of Trade Fairs and Exhibitions), the BMWi’s selection criteria are internationality of both the presentation and of the visitor profile.
The BMWi is pursuing a clearly defined goal with the programme: to strengthen Germany’s standing as a centre of innovation and promote the export of innovative products and processes. To this end, young companies are being helped to bring their ideas to market. In concrete terms, this means that if the company meets the BMWi’s prerequisites, the Ministry will pay up to 60 per cent of the stand costs – an outstanding opportunity for businesses established for less than 10 years to present their work in an international setting. “We are delighted that interzum 2019 is again part of the portfolio of trade fairs supported by BMWi” said Matthias Pollmann, Vice President Trade Fair Management. It is here, in Cologne, that the most important business is conducted and momentum for the global furniture supply industry is created. Decision makers, opinion leaders and disseminators from all over the world keep up with the innovations in the industry, seek out and establish new contacts – those who want to do truly good business in 2019 should not pass up this opportunity. “And young companies likewise have an opportunity to benefit”, the Vice President continued.
