Leitz once again proves its merit in window production as Schaden window praises the brand for offering right tools that helped in producing the perfect box-type window. Tool makers Leitz has forever offered the required support to the manufacturing industry with right tools for production. Recently the window industry has praised Leitz’s contribution in the manufacturing domain for their innovative tools to assist in window making. The perfect box-type windows could be easily completed with the rights tools from Leitz.
“The complex specifications on the part of Schaden window renovation were an enormous incentive for our window experts in the design office,” recalls Gerhard Groß, technical salesman at Leitz, and continues: “A box-type window consists of up to 70 parts: the complete frame, the inner and outer levels and the intermediate box, in variable wood thicknesses and with variable rebate dimensions and profiled transom/set timber – to name just a few. All this has to be covered by efficient tool planning. Added to this is the complete sash production. Here, Schaden relies on our proven LeitzPlugtec corner joint for the sash.”
The window manufacturers use the special Profilcut Q tools while cutting the profiles specially made out of the Leitz’s special ripple technology in the cross machining. This cuts the annual rings to minimize or eliminate cutting pressure or tear-outs. Also, the corrugation secures a larger gluing surface and in this way it reduces the adhesive leakage.
Leitz supplied Schaden profile tool sets as well as various router cutters and boring bits. “In addition, our window experts created over 200 sequence drawings for each cutter profile, which are needed as a basis for programming the CNC system,” reports Groß. 75 window sections, tool changer assignment plans, tool drawings and corresponding cutter documentation round off the Leitz delivery.
