Sonae Arauco unveils exciting new collection at FIMMA+Maderalia

Sonae Arauco, a prominent global manufacturer of wood-based panels, is set to unveil its latest collection, titled “Innovus – Matching our Nature,” at FIMMA+Maderalia 2024, the premier furniture sector exhibition in the Iberian Peninsula. This eagerly anticipated event will be held in Valencia, Spain, spanning from May 14th to 17th.

Featuring over 40 fresh designs and an inventive texture, the expanded Innovus collection offers a diverse range of over 220 solutions tailored for furniture and interior design. These encompass natural wood finishes like Karlstad Oak, imaginative patterns such as the Canasta textile, and stone-inspired options like Fossil Brown. Introducing the Soft Clean texture, characterized by a refined, uniform pore structure and a subtle sheen, this innovation offers ease of application and a pleasing tactile experience. Balancing a modern matte finish with exceptional durability, it’s crafted to meet the exacting requirements of ambitious design projects.

Furthermore, Maderalia will witness the introduction of two new Innovus Essence references, designed to authentically replicate the texture and visual appeal of solid wood. These references feature perfectly synchronized relief (EIR), meticulously capturing the knots and distinctive veins inherent to this material on both sides of the decorative panel. This ensures that the panel maintains its natural characteristics consistently across various applications. The Wonderland reference boasts a captivating natural honey tone with black pores, creating a visually striking effect. Meanwhile, the Craftland reference embodies the refined charm of rustic wood in a warm natural hue, showcasing harmoniously integrated cathedrals, balanced knots, and well-defined cracks.

The new collection arrives on the market with versatile solutions, which can be part of different environments, whether it is a home or a commercial space. It was designed with the concern of transmitting the various experiences of human beings, something that materialized in its organization into four dimensions: Emotional Nature, Social Nature, Functional Nature and Sustainable Nature.

“Attentive to market demands and the needs of our customers, we developed this collection with the future in mind. And by organizing the collection in this way, we intend to help categorize the sensations that different decorative items convey. In the emotional field, there is a demand for elements that appeal to the senses and promote a greater connection to (our) nature”, begins by explaining Michelle Quintão, Marketing Director at Sonae Arauco.

“In the area of sustainability, we increasingly focus on following a minimalist approach, with sustainable proposals that result in a very natural, as well as long-lasting, aesthetic; functionality is present in multifunctional decorative items, which are easy to combine and provide a unique environment. comfortable and discreet. As social beings we need products that reinforce the versatility and performance of the spaces that are part of our routines”, he concludes.

Among the exciting developments this year, Sonae Arauco introduces a groundbreaking initiative at the fair – the collection of wood waste over the four-day event. Partnering with Tecmasa, specialists in wood waste recycling and recovery in Spain, this initiative aims to reintegrate waste back into the industrial process. Specifically targeting waste generated during the fair’s organization and operations, the goal is to give these materials a new lease on life, thus averting their disposal in landfills. It’s noteworthy that Sonae Arauco stands out as a pioneer in the Iberian Peninsula for its integrated wood recycling ecosystem, forming the cornerstone of its circular bioeconomy business model.

“At Sonae Arauco, the commitment to sustainable development is transversal, from the acquisition of raw materials, to the continuous investment in better and more efficient industrial processes, to the way we think about the development of new products so that, at the end of their useful life, can return to our industrial process”, says Joana Martins, Communications Director at Sonae Arauco. “By encouraging the collection of wood at one of the largest international fairs in the sector, we are reducing waste but, above all, raising awareness. to the importance of ensuring the recycling of wood, a material with a decisive role in mitigating CO 2 emissions” .

Remember that the products developed by Sonae Arauco in 2023 guarantee, throughout their life cycle, the retention of around 3 million tons of carbon dioxide.

FIMMA+Maderalia presents the latest trends and innovations from more than 430 national and international companies, occupying more than 72,000 m2 of exhibition space.
