SCM’s new automated and connected solutions on stage at LIGNA 2023

SCM returns to LIGNA to present new automated and connected solutions for a highly customised, versatile and sustainable production. The entire sector of secondary wood processing can find out an extensive range of new entries in an exhibition area covering more than 3,000 m2 between Hall 13 and Hall 16 (in reference to Superfici technologies for finishing).

Innovations with a common goal: to make processes more efficient, keep down costs, consumption and waste and simplify their management, as is the case with the Smart&Human Factory that will be presented in Hanover in two distinct versions for the furniture industry and the bespoke joinery manufacturers.

The Smart&Human Factory for the industry presents the new machining cells gabbiani gt2, stefani cell E and morbidelli cx220 as well as a new cut c200 right size box making machine for packaging. These machines are integrated with articulated robots, AMR self-driving shuttles, software, MES and digital services that support the customer at each stage: data preparation, planning, production, monitoring and after-sales assistance, increasing efficiency and connecting the office to the factory.

Also taking centre stage is an integrated cell dedicated to joineries for flexible and customised production from the raw material to the finished piece of furniture, enhanced by the integration with the MES software. With regards to sizing, SCM presents a class px 350i circular saw with the SCM Thundercut Optimizer/Sequencer, unique in driving the operator step by step when inserting the panel into the machine and in cutting. Also in evidence the me 40 automatic edgebander with the new eye-S compact control panel and Maestro active interface and a startech cn plus CNC drilling centre.

Also on demonstration an extensive range of innovations for all woodworking applications. Among the latest, the new oikos xs cnc machining centre and dmc system xl sanding machine for timber construction, a unique dmc system wide belt sander with laser unit and many Superfici finishing cutting-edge solutions for surface treatment (on display in Hall 16). SCM also presents the new olimpic 500 and stefani sbx edgebanders, the latest versions of the cnc machining centres morbidelli m100 and x200, accord 500 and hypsos for solid wood machining. For windows and doors production Ligna visitors can also discover the new windorflex automatic cell in digital mode.

Among the many joinery machines on demonstration, the main innovations are the Blade Off safety system and the new startech cn k compact cnc.
