Schattdecor celebrated a successful showing at the 15th edition of SICAM, where it attracted an impressive number of visitors and captivated audiences with its expertise as a design and trend consultant. The company’s team of design, sales, and decor development professionals presented four new “trend worlds” in large-scale material collages, showcasing a carefully curated selection of innovative decors developed through Schattdecor’s Concept Sense+ program.
Customer-Centric Design in Concept Sense+ Program
A highlight of Schattdecor’s offering, the Concept Sense+ program, allows customers to engage directly in the early stages of decor development. Through workshops and real-time consultations, Schattdecor collaborates with clients to refine decors based on industry insights. This customer-driven approach has been instrumental in shaping popular new designs, including three decor innovations presented at SICAM: Adalar, Atlantic Coast, and Tarragona.
Showcasing Material Diversity and New Trends
Schattdecor’s “trend worlds” were a major draw at SICAM, blending wood, stone, glass, and unique materials like algae composites. The diversity was evident across each trend concept:
Dark Elegance: Warm wood tones paired with bold stone accents for a rich, sophisticated look.
Raw Essence: A minimalist style with wood-stone-metal combinations that balance modernity and natural textures.
Crafted Simplicity: Celebrating hand-crafted aesthetics with natural decor elements.
Green Aesthetics: Emphasising sustainable materials, including eco-friendly innovations inspired by natural landscapes.Impressions from the Milan Furniture Fair reinforced the design inspiration, particularly for the //FREIRAUM// concept, which prioritises materiality across all trends. Each display was tailored to meet the preferences of various target groups, all while maintaining a consistent focus on quality materials and refined aesthetics.
Decor Highlights: Black Mamba, Ravello Walnut, and Montmartre Oak
Schattdecor unveiled several standout decors that gained significant attention. Black Mamba, an expressionist-style black marble decor with white veins and green inclusions, provided an eye-catching centerpiece, showcasing depth and a response to the rising demand for green-toned stones.
The Sakura decor, inspired by quartzite and marble, also impressed attendees. This unique stone design reflects thousands of years of geological formation, offering surfaces a commanding presence with its quartzite and marble inclusions.
Walnut decors continued to trend, led by Ravello Walnut, a design that resonated with the Italian market for its warm, textured appeal. Positioned as a subtler option, Orlando Walnut also debuted, offering a balanced aesthetic that complements cooler stone or metallic surfaces for modern applications. Both walnut designs were featured in the “Raw Essence” trend world, aligning with market demand for wood decors that pair well with a range of materials.
Strong Demand for Oak: Sardes Oak, Montmartre Oak, and Riva
Oak designs also enjoyed strong demand, led by Sardes Oak, presented in Schattdecor’s Smartfoil Nature finish. Praised for its authentic, natural appearance, this decor achieved a successful blend of style and texture. Montmartre Oak, distinguished by its bold black grain pattern, evokes a vintage 1970s look, especially when paired with glass or stone in the Dark Elegance trend world.
The Riva decor, part of Schattdecor’s “Global Essentials” campaign, continues to gain global traction as an appealing alternative to traditional oak decors.
Product Innovations: Smartfoil and Smartflex Nature
Schattdecor also highlighted its latest surface innovations, Smartfoil and Smartflex Nature, which replicate the look and feel of real wood with a unique matte-gloss effect. The thermoplastic Smartflex Nature and Smartflex Mat+ versions provide a versatile, water-resistant option suitable for damp environments like kitchens and bathrooms, making them ideal for varied applications, including wrapping and shaping.
With these standout designs and materials, Schattdecor’s participation in SICAM 2024 underscored its leadership in innovative decor solutions and solidified its commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-centric trends that set new standards in design.
