Sandvik has been awarded the distinguished “Red Dot” in the 2024 Red Dot Design Award, one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. The company’s newly developed brand identity has been recognized as the winner in the technology brand category, marking a significant achievement in the field of communication design.
This accolade will see Sandvik featured in the internationally renowned International Yearbook Brands & Communication Design. Furthermore, Sandvik’s corporate identity will be on display at the Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin from November 2024 to January 2025, and at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen between March and May 2025. Additional exhibitions are planned at various international locations, further amplifying the global recognition of Sandvik’s brand excellence.
Björn Roodzant, Head of Group Communications and Sustainability at Sandvik, commented on the achievement, stating, “Considering the global importance of this competition, this is an outstanding recognition for Sandvik and all colleagues involved across all business areas, divisions, and group functions on developing our new, modern brand identity and logotype that fits our purpose and strategy. Launched in September 2023, Sandvik’s new visual identity underscores the company’s position as a leader in technology, with a strong focus on improving productivity, efficiency, and sustainability for its customers.

For the 2024 edition, entries were submitted from 55 countries, with communication design evaluated across 18 categories and brand submissions assessed within 38 industries. This global competition remains a benchmark for design excellence, and Sandvik’s win solidifies its reputation as an industry leader in technology branding.
