British Woodworking Federation Opens Entries for 2026 Awards as Industry Readies for Record-Breaking Year

The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) has officially opened entries for its 2026 Awards, inviting industry professionals to showcase excellence in woodworking and joinery. Building on last year’s record-breaking participation, the 18th annual awards aim to celebrate the skill, innovation, and resilience demonstrated by the sector. The ceremony is set for 20th November 2026 at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel, a central Bloomsbury venue, highlighting the industry’s achievements in craftsmanship, technical innovation, and business performance.

BWF Chief Executive Helen Hewitt emphasises that the awards spotlight professionals navigating economic pressures, evolving regulations, and supply chain constraints.   • BWF Health and Safety Award (Sikkens Wood Coatings): Highlights initiatives improving workplace safety and culture.
  • BWF Apprentice of the Year Award (Accsys Technologies): Celebrates apprentices achieving exceptional skill, safety adherence, and workplace contribution.
  • BWF Rising Star Award (James Latham): Recognises individuals making significant impacts on organisations or the wider woodworking community.
  • BWF Woodworking Project of the Year (NFU Mutual): Showcases innovation, design, and manufacturing excellence in joinery projects.
  • BWF Heritage Project of the Year (Impra Wood Protection): Rewards craftsmanship in conservation, restoration, or renovation of heritage assets.

Participation and Entry Details
Entries are free and open until 7th August 2026 at 5 pm. Businesses can self-nominate or be nominated by clients or suppliers, with no limit on category entries. The awards provide a platform for industry professionals to showcase projects and individuals setting new standards in craftsmanship, sustainability, and technical innovation.
