Raute R3 technology was purchased by PT Sumber Graha Sejahtera for its Indonesian facilities, the most recent of which being PT Mangole Timber Producer in the province of Papua. They made the decision to reopen an existing plywood factory; for which they required cutting-edge production technology. The Raute R3 series was therefore selected as a dependable technology partner.

In the single largest order for Raute R3-Series received in 2022 for Indonesia, the purchases include:

2 units of Veneer Peeling Line R3 4ft
1 unit of Veneer Peeling Line R3 8ft
20 units of Veneer Patcher R3
1 unit of semi-automatic Veneer Scarf-jointing Line.

The equipments are to be delivered by 2023

Block centering, peeling, veneer analysing, clipping, stacking, and stack handling are all procedures involved in veneer peeling that have an effect on the production performance. Both the quantity of face-quality sheets that may be produced and the profitability of the entire veneer manufacturing chain are influenced by the peeling process. The veneer production capacity and quality for further processing are maximised with effective peeling and clipping. Raute Veneer Peeling Lines claim that they provide the required solution for your requirements, enabling you to use all raw materials that may be peeled. Producing anything from thin decorative veneer to thick softwood veneer allows one to monetize even from low-quality and undersized logs. The optimal peeling geometry (OPG) of the lathes guarantees uniform quality across each veneer ribbon. The tiniest core is accessible with spindleless peeling.

One of the most effective ways for improvement of value and production in terms of worthier plywood grades is to repair veneer by patching holes and knots. Depending on the size of the veneers, the patching technology includes at least one patching level with one or two patching heads. While the veneers are moved and placed beneath the patching heads, the patching heads are permanently set in fixed positions on the patching frame.

Veneer scarf jointing supports flexibility into production of long veneer sheets while improving productivity and recovery from small diameter or curved blocks. Raute scarf-jointing lines allow for flexible production of plywood in any size. Practically any length of long grain, sturdy veneer sheets can be produced using scarf-jointing. To maximise recovery from each sheet, the intelligent analyzers minimise the need for clipping.
