Raute will be supplying their latest veneer peeling technology, the Raute Veneer Peeling Line R7-Hybrid to Latvijas Finieris in Latvia. Latvijas Finieris hopes to increase capacity with the investment as part of other investment initiatives. A greater raw material utilisation is another benefit of the hybrid peeling process.
Delivery of the line is anticipated to take place in the summer of 2023.
Raute Veneer Peeling Line R7-Hybrid overview
Woodworkers can profit from hybrid peeling and manufacture high-quality veneer from both hardwood and softwood with the Raute Veneer Peeling Line R7-Hybrid. One can maximise face veneer and full sheet recovery from surface to the smallest core using its hybrid lathe’s peels with and without spindles. In comparison to traditional peeling technology, the line’s advanced electrical and hydraulic technologies can reduce the energy requirement by up to 30%. With all block shapes, the Block Centering Analyzer R7 reduces round-up losses and determines the ideal peeling location, increasing complete sheet recovery by up to 15%.
The lathe’s optimal peeling geometry (OPG) assures correct veneer thickness from surface to core even with and without spindles. Knife changes that are automated make work easier, preserve quality, and increase safety. Accurate visual and moisture analyzers improve drying capacity and quality while maximising face veneer recovery. For optimal drying, the moisture analyzer sorts sheets according to moisture, which results in a capacity gain of up to 20%.
The integrated MillSIGHTS data collection and reporting system gives you thorough insight into the factors influencing your production and aids in their analysis. Raute Veneer Peeling Line R7-Hybrid has 30% less energy consumption than conventional peeling technology solutions and 8% better raw material.
