Raute is embarking on a new phase, in its strategic quest to add value to forest assets. Raute will alter its organisational structure to more effectively address the present operational and strategic development ambitions. Raute will have three business units as of January 1, 2023: Wood Processing, Analyzers, and Services, each with a distinct focus and responsibility for its own business activities. The CEO, three Executive Vice Presidents, one for each business unit, and the Chief Executive Officer, Chief People Officer, and Chief Financial Officer will make up the Executive Board.
Raute’s capacity to serve clients will be strengthened by the new structure, which also streamlines internal procedures. Makeup and areas of duty of the Executive Board will also change to reflect the change. The Wood Processing business unit houses Raute’s primary technology for the manufacture of veneer, plywood, and LVL. The scope of the delivery comprises individual production equipment, modernizations, and whole mill-scale projects. Raute is a market leader worldwide in both the plywood and LVL sectors. Petri Strengell, a member of the Executive Board who has been with Raute since 1987 and is presently in charge of the supply chain operations, will be in charge of leading the wood processing division. From May 2022 to September 2022, Strengell also served as interim CEO of Raute.
With the newest measuring technology from Raute for sorting veneer, plywood, and LVL as well as specialised measurement tools for sawn timber, the Analyzers business unit provides customers. Jani Roivainen, who has been with Raute since 2011, and who has been in charge of the Metrix business as a member of the Executive Board since 2019, will be in charge of the analyzers.
