This year’s DREMA trade fair will witness the Polish debut of the latest innovation from PolishStyl – the PS series brushing machine. Known for their commitment to advancing woodworking technology, PolishStyl is set to showcase this state-of-the-art solution for the first time in Poland.
“Everyone wants to look younger, but when it comes to wood, we love the aging process!” remarked Bogusław Szkutnik, President of PolishStyl, as he introduced the PS series brushing machine. “Brushing, or structuring wood, is a highly popular trend in the production of furniture, flooring, and even in finishing house facades. Unfortunately, in many manufacturing facilities, this process is still done manually, making it tedious, imprecise, and time-consuming. Our new PS series brushing machines are designed to simplify and automate this process.”
Innovative Design Features
The PS series brushing machines stand out for their dual functionality, enabling both structuring and grinding of wood elements, making them exceptionally versatile. Moreover, PolishStyl distinguishes itself as one of the few companies that produces both the machinery and the brushes, which are manufactured at their Nowa Dęba facility. This integrated approach allows for the perfect alignment of technology with the varied needs of woodworking factories, regardless of their production scale.
A key highlight of the PS machines is their robust frame construction, which minimizes vibrations during operation. This solid build ensures precise results, delivering the desired brushing effect and a flawless finish on wood elements.
Two Versions and Multiple Options
The PS brushers are available in two versions: Basic and Luxury. The Luxury model comes equipped with advanced features, including an electronic control panel, adjustable speed settings, and the ability to change spindle direction. The electronic control panel provides precise control over the spindle height, spindle speed, and conveyor belt speed. Both machine heads offer bidirectional rotation.
Additionally, both the Basic and Luxury series are available in two working widths: 400 mm (PS-400 model) and 600 mm (PS-600 model). Despite these conveyor belt widths, the machine’s open construction allows for the processing of elements up to 800 mm wide with the smaller option and up to 1,200 mm wide with the larger one. The working height of the units accommodates elements up to 310 mm in height. Two guide rollers ensure that narrow surfaces are accurately held at the desired conveyor width for consistent grinding or structuring.
Structuring and Polishing Capabilities
The PS series brushing machines are equipped with two units that can handle both structuring and grinding tasks. Each unit can be fitted with brushes specifically designed for either grinding (featuring replaceable inserts) or structuring (with steel and Tynex brushes). The type of brush used is selected based on the desired process and outcome, with PolishStyl providing expert advice to ensure the best results.
As a manufacturer of both the heads and brushes, PolishStyl offers a wide range of options and professional guidance to help clients achieve their desired finish.
Debut at DREMA 2024
“We’ve already showcased the PS brushing machine at international fairs like Ligna 2023 and the IWF in Atlanta earlier this year, where it garnered significant interest,” said Szkutnik. “Now, we are excited to introduce this series of machines to the Polish market at DREMA 2024 in Poznań. We invite everyone to visit our stand, where PolishStyl advisors will demonstrate the machine’s capabilities, assist in technology selection, and provide expert insights on wood brushing, sanding, and structuring.”
PolishStyl’s presence at DREMA 2024 promises to be a highlight for professionals in the woodworking industry, offering a firsthand look at the latest advancements in brushing technology.
