WINTERSTEIGER has expanded its saw blade product portfolio with an additional grade of quality: Blades for resawing and log band saw machines are now being upset by cold forging. This leads to increased tooth tip hardness, improving resistance to wear, cutting precision and the cut surface quality compared to those of band saw blades with offset teeth.
Upset-forged saw blades are used in sawmills where mainly soft woods are cut and the sharpening equipment is still laid out for this process.
