The furniture sub-industry sector had a successful 2023 as it came together for the Intermob Fair. The industry exhibited its products, which stands out with aesthetic designs, functional products and sustainable materials.
With its quarter-century history, Intermob Fair, which is among the top three largest fairs in Europe in its field and the largest and most comprehensive specialized fair in Eurasia, is not only an effective trade platform for the furniture sub-industry and wood industry to access world-wide markets, but also a platform for the future. It also leads to the development of inspiring new designs. The fair, which was held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul between September 20 and October 3 2023, in cooperation with RX Tüyap and MAKSDER, hosted 554 local and foreign companies and company representatives in a 120,000 m2 closed area.
A total of 37,610 qualified industry professionals from a wide geography, especially Europe, the Balkans, Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East, and from 112 countries, including Turkey, visited the fair.
RX Tüyap General Manager Berkan Öner stated that 98% of the participating companies were satisfied with the fair in 2023 and said, “Intermob Fair brought together the designers, manufacturers and suppliers who are the pioneers of the furniture industry, and exhibited the trends and innovations that shape the industry. The fair brought together a wide range of products and services, from furniture accessories with high aesthetic value to machines that increase efficiency in production.
2023 was a year when sustainability came to the fore in the furniture sub-industry sector. The industry has taken its environmental responsibility one step further with recyclable materials, energy-saving production processes and nature-friendly designs, products and solutions. This eco-transformation has taken steps to shape not only the products but also the future in the industry. The 25th edition of Intermob Fair, held in 2023 also added a special meaning to the celebration of the blessed 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
Intermob continues to grow with 3 basic principles:
• Aesthetic and functional design: 2023 was a year in which functionality as well as aesthetic designs were at the forefront in the furniture accessories industry. Smart storage solutions, combined with practical and stylish designs, are offered to the industry.
• Sustainability: Furniture accessories manufacturers have increased their efforts to reduce environmental impact by focusing on sustainable materials and production processes. Sustainability will continue to be the main dynamic of the sector in 2024. Recyclable materials, energy saving and nature-friendly designs will lead the industry in reducing its environmental impact.
• Innovation: With developing and accelerating production processes, the number and diversity of innovative designs used in the furniture industry has increased. The latest developments in this field transform furniture accessories from ordinary items into special pieces that make living spaces more functional and aesthetic.
Intermob will continue to be the showcase of new trends and technologies in 2024.
The furniture sub-industry sector experienced a growth focused on aesthetics, function and sustainability in 2023. Intermob Fair has become an important platform that determines the innovations and future vision in the sector. Intermob Fair 2024 will open its door for the 26th time at its usual address, Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul from September 12 to September 15 in 2024. It will again bring together the global players of the furniture accessories industry with these goals and enable the creation of new business connections and business opportunities.
