IMA Schelling Group brings unique solutions to ensure all angles covered. IMA Schelling Group recently indulged into building advanced solutions for door manufacturers and ensures that all angles are properly trimmed and fitted. At the request of door manufacturer Huga KG, the Ima Schelling Group developed a unique postforming production line for angled trims made from pre-coated materials.
Specialising in sophisticated and innovative wood processing solutions, the IMA Schelling Group prides itself on being the market leader for batch-size-1 systems supporting digitalized, fully automated networked production. The high-end solutions developed and manufactured in collaboration with its two affiliated companies IMA Klessmann and Schelling Anlagenbau are now available worldwide thanks to joint service and sales companies in eastern and western Europe, the United States, Canada, Russia, Singapore and China.
The Ima Schelling Group recently teamed up with door manufacturer Huga to develop the world’s first ever postforming production line for making angled trims from pre-coated materials. Huga was looking for a new method that would not only greatly simplify the production process, but would also enable throughfeed manufacture of rounded trims made from coated board materials with Durat surfaces. This led Ima Schelling to devise a fully customized configuration for the machine concept of the new, fully automated postforming process. “Being able to form surface-finished boards is an absolute world first,” says Dennis Reddig, Product Manager Through feed Technology at IMA Klessmann, not without a certain amount of pride.
