Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence branch announced the release of the best-in-class Enterprise Asset Management tool, HxGN EAM. Since being acquired by Hexagon in October 2021, EAM has released two significant updates. Expanded capability is available across the board in HxGN EAM v12. It provides further Asset Performance Management (APM) module expansion with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) features, enables Asset Investment Planning (AIP) computation and visualisation with EcoSysTEM, and increases the functionality of HxGN EAM Digital Work Mobile.

The core of the value-add of version 12 is also the AIP improvements. The ability to visualise where money is being spent right now and where investments should be made in the future is now possible thanks to a graphical interface. The new Constraint Optimizer engine also figures out how much money is needed to select assets in order to achieve the desired conditions. Users can compare several investment situations by viewing the results of their investment planning within EcoSys. By enhancing the AIP, it is possible to acquire long-term perspectives on capital investment plans and guarantee that important assets are adequately funded to meet Level of Service and State of Good Repair criteria.
