The family of Ergon Living swing-and-slide systems expands with the flush folding door solution. The Ergon Living system eliminates the problem of obstruction between adjacent doors and expands construction possibilities. This all new technology revolutionises the concept of the door and increases the amount of space available. The opening is as simple and easy as that of any hinged door.
Thanks to the simultaneous swing and slide movement of the door, the space occupied is 50% less than traditional opening and closing systems. With Ergon Folding, one can install pairs of swing-and-slide doors, taking advantage of the swing and slide movement even on extra wide openings. With this new solution, rooms can be compartmentalised with a single, silent, ultra-stable and easy movement. The floor is not involved in the opening system because there are no guides or sliding elements on the ground.
It is also possible to use the Ergon Living system on double opposing doors. All the Ergon Living hardware is compatible with the application of the Push & Go EVO magnetic unlocking system, which has won awards for the quality, ease-of-use and technical functionality in the movement of the secondary leaf.
Through the double-sided push-open function, the Ergon Living system is suitable for both private and public premises, meeting the problems related to the escape routes and the needs of disabled people using wheelchairs. Moreover, Ergon Living swinging-sliding technology is a valid alternative even in premises already structured and in use, because it does not require masonry work or additional costs compared to traditional opening systems.
The hardware kit supplied can be applied to doors with various constructional features, large or small, made with any type of material: wood (from solid wood to hollow core), metal, plastic, and glass inserts. Three different versions are proposed with the aim of minimizing door hindrance during movement: (basic, small, and large) depending on the width of the doors, and over fifty standard items in various sizes and finishes.
The Ergon Living S40 System is characterised by a vertical rotation rod inserted in the hollow door with a minimum of 40 mm thickness. There are two different technical manuals for this system: to construct the jamb with an upright or to use a flat jamb.
