Egger group adds yet another feather to its cap with two new awards in sustainability ratings: Prime status in the ISS ESG Corporate Rating and the EcoVadis silver medal, that it was conferred with recently. Leading international ESG rating agencies review EGGER’s performance annually in order to help it meet its ambitious goals. A fundamental part of the Egger Group’s corporate behaviour is sustainable management. Since its inception, the business has strived to conduct itself sustainably. The ongoing development of its own sustainability management is a crucial prerequisite. As a result, EGGER has consistently undergone evaluation by outside organisations.

“We have high standards for our sustainability management and our transparent reporting. Through the objective analyses of external ESG rating agencies, we gain additional valuable insight into how we can further translate our objectives into our processes,” says Thomas Leissing, Chief Financial Officer EGGER Group.

ISS ESG Prime status:
In the market for sustainable investments, ISS ESG is one of the top rating companies. It granted the EGGER Group Prime status, which is only given to the top organisations in their respective fields, for the third time. The ranking system used by ISS ESG is founded on science. It takes into account non-financial data from the governance, social affairs, and environmental fields. Companies having Prime rank are regarded as industry pioneers in sustainability and Egger is placed among the top 3 of the 49 businesses in its own sector evaluated by ISS.

EcoVadis Silver Medal:
For the fourth time already, EGGER received the silver medal from EcoVadis, one of the biggest global producers of sustainability evaluations. The manufacturer of wood-based materials now ranks in the top 25 percent of all businesses considered. This rating is based on 21 criteria, which are split into four categories: ethics, sustainable procurement, labour and human rights, and the environment.
