With a host of new features, the 33rd edition of one of the world’s most important trade shows for carpets and floor coverings DOMOTEX 2023 kicked off on January 12 at the Exhibition and trade centre in Hannover, Germany.

This edition puts the spotlight on sustainability and at the special area THE GREEN COLLECTION in Hall 23, the leading theme FLOORED BY NATURE will comes alive with extraordinary displays and innovative products!
The opening day further celebrated talent and conducted the award ceremony, prizes were given in the categories Eco-friendly Products, Healthy Products, Sustainable Production and Social Responsibility.

Wood flooring offers timeless appeal and durability hence it’s a perfect choice in any setting, residential or commercial. Natural further adds warmth and creates relaxing environment. While in 2022 several hardwood trends emerged as a continuation of the previous trends, in 2023 flooring trends are more inspired by latest technology and trends towards sustainability. And this DOMOTEX introduced a plethora of choices in the sustainable flooring.
From hue selection to material installation and sustainability in wood will jointly play a crucial in 2023. Minimalist design trends in natural and neutral shade will continue to grow in flooring choices. In the domestic segment natural shades are preferred as they enhance the look of the interior making it bigger and brighter. Calming shades also help in creating sobre environment that nurtures harmony. For example, white oak is preferred for its natural water-resistant quality and creamy colour adds a soft appeal to the room.
