Carsten Heuer is the new President of EPPA

Carsten Heuer is the new President of EPPA, the European trade association of manufacturers of PVC-U window systems. In this role, Heuer will continue the association’s successful work and position it as a strong and proactive solution provider within the EU, which always provides new decisive impulses, especially with regard to sustainability issues.

Carsten Heuer has been Divisional CEO of REHAU Window Solutions since 2017. From now on, he will additionally act as Chairman of the Board of EPPA, the European trade association of manufacturers of vinyl window systems. He succeeds Patrick Seitz and will lead the EPPA together with Vice-President Alexander Franke. This has now been decided by the association at this year’s general meeting in Karlsruhe.

“EPPA will continue to support the sustainable growth of its members in Europe with full commitment. In this way, we will continue to produce high-quality and environmentally friendly products and thus be a strong, active and respected partner in our industry network as well as a competent contact for the European institutions in close dialogue,” says Carsten Heuer.

Especially in view of the current enormously challenging environment, Heuer wants to open up additional opportunities for cooperation and, together with the experienced EPPA Managing Director Charlotte Röber, further expand the role of the association as a provider of solutions in the EU – especially in the context of the Green Deal, for which convincing industry solutions are essential. “As a strong association, we will strategically expand and proactively offer joint concepts in the EU,” says Heuer.

EPPA President Carsten Heuer represents an industry that is already successfully demonstrating and implementing a blueprint for the circular economy in all member states. This consistent focus on the future contributes to the continuous improvement of upcoming products of EPPA members. To this end, the association provides relevant factual information and proactive, target group-oriented communication on the association’s topics throughout Europe.

“It is our common goal to continue to establish EPPA as a driving force in the development of practicable European standards and thus to significantly support EU legislation. As a reliable contact, EPPA is and remains the driver and designer of successful sustainability solutions,” says Heuer.
