Biesse Inside: Smart 4 all

 Monday, October 17, 2016

biesse_11The 2016 edition of the Biesse Inside event, which took place at the Pesaro campus from 13-15 October, was focused more than ever on offering customers a 360° overview of how the manufacturing companies of the future could look.

The digitalisation of artisan production must be preceded by a cultural leap, so that all manufacturers can take full advantage of the positive aspects of this development”, explains Raphaël Prati, Director of Marketing and Communications for Biesse Group. “Our goal is to help our customers to understand that they can transform their factories into digital factories, gaining both flexibility and competitiveness. But the most significant new development”, explains Prati,”is that all of this is now available to all businesses, both large and small, and Biesse represents the most immediate solution to the challenges posed by the concept of mass customisation.”

In order to achieve this goal, Biesse once again opened its doors to customers, providing the perfect opportunity for an exchange of ideas, as well as proposing a range of concrete solutions. Indeed, more than 45 of these cutting-edge technological solutions are on display in a showroom spanning more than 5,000 square metres, allowing visitors to witness the capacity of these advanced machines to transform pure ideas into concrete design first-hand. The permanent bLab facility occupies 140 square metres, and is dedicated to Made In Biesse software and to the products created by our customers. Among the new products on show is the brand-new and unique Rover M5, the compact machining centre which offers exceptional performance, allowing users to machine high-volume pieces with ease. The new Selco WN2 cutting centre will also be available to view, designed for artisan producers looking to make an initial investment to improve production whilst ensuring maximum machining quality. In addition, the new Brema Eko 2.2 will be present at the event, a compact and versatile vertical boring machine with a reduced footprint that allows for pieces of different thickness and sizes to be machined with ease. Visitors will also be able to discover more about the Industry 4.0 applications during three exclusive seminars conducted by Accenture and Wood-Skin, ambassadors of Biesse’s Think4ward philosophy – the perfect opportunity to show those in attendance how digital manufacturing is already changing the way we design and produce objects.
