Ingo Bathe

Ingo Bathe, International Sales Director, IMOS AG speaks to Wood & Panel about their participation in IndiaWood, how the company sees India as a market, the all new imos IX 2019 and more.

Tell us about your participation in IndiaWood? How has been the response in the first three days?

Ingo Bathe: We have been part of the Indian market for more than 14 years. And what is good to see that every year and every show is more important than before. And today you can also see the improvements in the Indian furniture industry. Since the door opens here in Bangalore and the people who ask us for solutions are not looking for rudimentary Process & Engineering, we feel here in the right place and at the right time. And we’re looking at more today.

How do you see India as a market to promote software solution?

Ingo Bathe: At imos, we are consistently driving the projects of today and tomorrow. This will lead to a significant increase in further developments and growth opportunities for our customers. And our customers are looking for much more than just a design tool. Our customers are looking for integrated solutions to automate their processes for the entire supply chain.

You are highlighting Imos IX 2019 here. Can you tell us briefly its major features?

Ingo Bathe: The first iX was launched in Ligna 2017. Since that day we have been developing our software suite on monthly patches based on our customers’ requirements. The iX stands for an integrated solution from the point of sale to the factory requirements. And we will always continue with new functions and features according to this idea. VR or online cloud integration is just one part of it that is becoming increasingly attractive to our customers. But people also like to see what we have improved for our other software areas. In this way, we always highlight new ideas and functions that depend on the needs of our customers

What are your plans going forward in 2020?

Ingo Bathe: Our goal for 2020 is definitely to continue on the path we started a few years ago. Grow with market requirements and automate and integrate processes. This is our roadmap in India and around the world. And especially in India, we get great feedback and a very strong market share in managing these processes.
