“Going Green” – the new global trend

 Thursday, December 24, 2015

indexNowadays, people are more interested in product provenance: what are the raw materials and where do they come from. Being one of the paramount elements in furniture manufacturing, wood is inevitably the focus of public discussion. As “going green” becomes a global trend, furniture manufacturers are looking for solutions to cater to this overwhelming trend while maintaining cost efficiency and achieving prosperous development.

Greener Engineered Wood Manufacturing is the trend
Due to supply and price constraint, instead of solid wood, engineered wood is widely used in making furniture. By bonding the wood pieces to form a larger and integral composite unit, engineered wood inherently acquires properties of its wood components. Furniture manufacturers can adjust and design to produce various types of engineered wood, like plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), oriented strand board (OSB) and so forth, according to requirement on product strength and stiffness, insulating and surface quality. In recent years, light-weight panel board and recycled wood are getting popular as a result of social advocate for a more environmental-friendly production.

Top-notch Exhibitors in “Panel Board Machinery Zone”
With an aim to assist woodworking and furniture enterprises to capture the enormous business opportunities brought by the changing market needs, Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 gathers numerous top-notched exhibitors, including Berndorf Band GMBH, Wanhua Ecoboard Co., Ltd. , SANDVIK PROCESS SYSTEMS (SHANGHAI) LTD, Shanghai Wood-based Panel Machinery Co., Ltd., Wemhöener (Changzhou) Manufacturing, Jiangsu Qingshan Machinery Co., Ltd., Dunhua Yalian Machinery Co., Ltd., Hebei Jiushun Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., China Foma (Group) Co., Ltd., Baishengyuan Group and so forth, at the “Panel Board Machinery Zone”, offering ultimate solutions for greener engineered wood. Exhibitors will bring along their innovative machines and systems from all over the world, providing a full range of comprehensive solutions in tackling problems of rising labor cost, production batch fragmentation, etc.

Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016, believing that information is crucial for strategizing a good production plan, will orchestrate a conference focusing on particleboard during the Fair. Professional experts from panel board production and equipment manufacturing will be invited to share about plywood machinery development and technology innovation. It will also cover the design concepts and practices of abrasive grinding machines as well as the expansion of green panel production and new raw materials sources.

The 16th International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Manufacturing Equipment and The International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery Supplies and Accessories (also known as “Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016”) will be grandly held from June 1 to 4, 2016, at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing, PR China.
