IPCO impresses visitors at LIGNA with latest steel belt technology

 Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Sweden based steel belt manufacturers IPCO is at LIGNA to demonstrate benefits of the steel belt technology for digital presses. With an aim to optimise the entire range of digital printing applications like printing on the plastic cards, IPCO is at the largest woodworking trade fair to demonstrate the latest steel belt technology for digital presses. At the Hall 26, stand D58, steel belts and services for the wood based panel industry IPCO has showcased its latest innovations.

The Swedish company is known for producing steel belts of 0.4 mm thickness. These are unique specially engineered flat belts supporting maximum print accuracy. It also ensures that the belt moves at a proper speed. The steel belts from IPCO can be made in virtually any length and width to meet the specific requirements of a press. They can be supplied with a smooth surface, or with perforations so the customer can use a vacuum system and thus eliminate the risk of the print material moving on the belt.

“This is a relatively new application for our steel belts, but one for which they are exceptionally well suited,” says Cherryleen Garcia-Lindgren, Global Innovation Manager at IPCO, adding: “Stability, accuracy, easy cleaning and durability are all key here and we look forward to exploring the possibilities that exist across the entire digital printing sector.”
