Xylexpo 2026, the biennial international exhibition dedicated to technology for the wood and furniture industries, is scheduled to take place at FieraMilano-Rho from June 9 to 12. The event introduces a brand-new concept designed to provide tangible business opportunities to exhibitors and cutting-edge technological content to visitors. The exhibition reaffirms its international scope and dual function: promoting the value of “Made-in-Italy” products while supporting Italian companies, and offering direct access to the Italian market for international professionals and companies.
A major highlight of Xylexpo 2026 is the debut of “Composites Future,” an initiative focused on composite materials and related technologies. Developed in partnership with Plast—the international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries—and Assocompositi, this project aims to expand the exhibition’s traditional scope. It will introduce the increasingly important topic of multimateriality, which involves the integration of various materials into manufacturing operations. From June 10 to 12, “Composites Future” will host the “Composites Future Academy,” featuring training sessions in the morning and a Demo Area in the afternoon, showcasing hands-on demonstrations of composite processing technologies.
Synergy will also be created through the Interzum Forum Italy, which will be held on June 4-5 in Bergamo. This forum will focus on the home decoration and design business. The link between these two events highlights the connections across the entire wood-furniture value chain, combining technologies, materials, design, and contemporary trends.

The Xylexpo 2026 agenda spans four days, each dedicated to specific topics. June 9 will focus on timber construction, with the first edition of Holzbau Forum Italia. June 10 will highlight wood drying, featuring the presentation of the new Drying Handbook, published by Conlegno and the University of Florence. June 11 will cover finishing technologies and products, while June 12 will delve into machining tools and technologies. Throughout the event, the central theme will remain focused on technologies for processing solid wood and panels, including machines, plants, finishing lines, tools, and services.
Looking at the exhibitor lineup, major industry players have confirmed their participation, including Biesse, SCM Group, and Felder Group. The presence of these prominent Italian companies underscores Xylexpo’s significance in one of the world’s most important markets for wood and furniture technology.
Industry support is strong. Enrico Aureli, president of Acimall and SCM, emphasized that the integration of Xylexpo, Plast, and Composites Future represents a significant step forward, reflecting the market’s evolution and placing multimateriality at the forefront. Biesse’s Federico Broccoli echoed this vision, noting that the new configuration signals the industry’s growing openness to innovative materials and applications.
The 2026 edition arrives at a favorable time for investments, with fiscal incentives for technological innovation. With the support of ICE Agenzia, buyer delegations from approximately 25 countries are expected to attend. Thanks to a dynamic format, new synergies, and strong international participation, Xylexpo 2026 is reaffirming its role as a strategic event for business and innovation in a constantly evolving industry.
