Woodstoxx welcomes its new CEO

Woodstoxx announces the appointment of the its news CEO. The company is proud to welcome Matthijs Keersebilck as CEO. This particular step marks the start of a new chapter in the company’s seventeen-year history and underlines its continued commitment to innovation and leadership.

Over the past year, the group of companies around Woodstoxx has undergone a strategic restructuring. As part of this evolution, the four subsidiaries, Woodstoxx, Belgiqa, Unicus and The Hub, have been grouped under a new, umbrella group: the Highway Group. Matthijs Keersebilck succeeds the former CEO of Woodstoxx, Robbert Desmet, who will focus entirely on the Highway Group and Unicus from April 8.

Matthijs Keersebilck is no stranger to the construction sector. Before his appointment at Woodstoxx, he worked for six years as commercial director at project developer Matexi. In the years before, he built his career in the football world, at both Anderlecht and Club Brugge. Matthijs also sits on the board of directors of the National Lottery and Hallelujah.

Woodstoxx specialises in high-end wooden floor and facade cladding for interior and exterior. It serves both the residential and project markets and is known for its commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and aesthetics. Woodstoxx was founded 17 years ago in Menen and today also has branches in Ghent and Antwerp.

At the beginning of 2025, the company will continue its expansion in Belgium and open a new branch in Brussels together with Camille Verstraete, CEO of The Hub. Belgiqa is also simultaneously taking major steps in exporting abroad under the leadership of Grégory Minne.

“This new phase represents a fantastic challenge for Woodstoxx and the Highway Group as a whole,” said Robbert. “We look very constructively to the future. With the opening of Woodstoxx Brussels, we are ready to further strengthen our position in the market.”

With these innovations, Woodstoxx is well positioned to defy current challenges in the market and seize new opportunities in the rapidly evolving timber and construction sector.
