WEINMANN to debut next-gen timber solutions at DACH+HOLZ 2026 in Cologne

WEINMANN-event 2026

As the demand for sustainable prefabrication surges, companies are grappling with a deepening shortage of skilled labour and intensifying cost pressures. From February 24 to 27, 2026, the timber industry will turn its eyes to DACH+HOLZ International in Cologne, where WEINMANN—the HOMAG Group’s specialist in timber automation—will present a blueprint for navigating these challenges.

In collaboration with SCHULER Consulting and GranIT, WEINMANN (located in Hall 7, Stand 121) is all set to demonstrate that automation is no longer an “all-or-nothing” industrial venture, but a scalable journey accessible to both traditional carpentry shops and large-scale prefabricated house manufacturers.

A central pillar of the WEINMANN showcase is the WALLTEQ M-300 multifunctional bridge. Designed specifically as an entry point for companies looking to increase their prefabrication depth, the M-300 offers CNC-controlled precision for trimming, sawing, and fastening in a compact footprint.

Salient technological breakthroughs:

  • fastenerSwitch Quick Coupler: This system allows for rapid, automatic changes between different fastening tools, ensuring that production doesn’t stall when switching material types or fastener specs.
  • The Facade Shoe (NEW): Addressing the growing trend of complex exterior envelopes, this new tool enables the automatic alignment and fastening of facade boards directly onto elements.
  • RAPICMASTER Sealing Tape Applicator (NEW): Developed in partnership with pro clima, this module automates the application of TESCON RAPIC sealing tapes. By moving this labor-intensive task to the machine, companies can guarantee airtightness while significantly reducing manual man-hours.

Efficiency in timber construction is often won or lost on the factory floor’s ergonomics. The new BUILDTEQ A-200 assembly table makes its debut as a modular “all-rounder” for producing wall, roof, and ceiling elements.

The standout feature of the A-200 is its on-the-spot turning mechanism. Unlike traditional systems that require massive hall space or overhead cranes to flip elements, the A-200 handles the rotation within its own footprint. This not only saves valuable real estate but also protects the physical health of workers by automating the most strenuous parts of the assembly process.

While machines provide the muscle, data provides the strategy. The 2026 presentation is bolstered by the presence of GranIT and SCHULER Consulting, the latter of which celebrates 70 years of wood industry expertise this year.

On February 26, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., experts will lead a high-level session titled: “Cost-Effective Prefabricated Timber Construction – Comprehensively Understanding, Optimizing, and Managing Cost Factors.” This session will move beyond hardware to discuss:

  1. Material optimisation: Strategies to combat fluctuating timber prices.
  2. Process transparency: Using GranIT software to identify bottlenecks in real-time.
  3. Investment phasing: How to transition from manual to semi-automated production without overextending capital.

WEINMANN’s presence at DACH+HOLZ 2026 highlights a significant shift in the woodworking technology sector. By focusing on scalable modules like the WALLTEQ M-300 and the BUILDTEQ A-200, they are providing a lifeline to carpentry firms that need to produce more with fewer people.

The partnership with pro clima for the RAPICMASTER further proves that the future of timber construction lies in integrated ecosystems where machinery, materials, and software work in unison to deliver high-performance, sustainable buildings.
