Weinig introduces innovative OptiCut 550 Quantum cross-cut saw and sets new productivity standards in the industry. The fully automated cross-cutting and optimisation with feed rates of up to 550 meters a minute now reduces performance time improves business while reducing the production time.

With the OptiCut 550 Quantum, Weinig once again proves its efficiency in developing fully automated cross-cutting and optimisation. For instance, it has increased the saw’s feed speed to up to 550 meters a minute. The OptiCut 550 Quantum drops out of top speed to complete precise positioning, then re-accelerates, all at a speed of up to 50 meters per second squared. The VarioStroke saw stroke system makes it possible to achieve extremely short cutting times for all cross-sections within the maximum cutting range. This is all designed to ensure enhanced machine performance and unprecedented cutting quality. Waste handling has also been completely revamped. Large and small waste parts are now separated from OK parts reliably and of course exceptionally quickly. Finally, the OptiStat tool helps evaluate production data and identify ways the production process could be optimised.
