Vecoplan, a leading provider of industrial shredding and recycling technology, has unveiled its Vecoplan Smart Center (VSC), a cutting-edge digitalisation solution designed to maximise the efficiency of its machines and systems. The VSC enables seamless connectivity between users and Vecoplan’s service network, allowing real-time monitoring, fault detection, and system optimisation.
The VSC, included with the purchase of any Vecoplan product, provides significant advantages by offering enhanced service connectivity and remote troubleshooting. It allows Vecoplan’s shredding experts to access control systems remotely, ensuring swift detection, analysis, and resolution of issues as they arise. All necessary data and documentation are available online, and recommended actions are clearly outlined to ensure optimal performance.
“The VSC is much more than just an operating panel,” explains Bastian Wienen, Regional Sales Manager in Vecoplan’s Recycling | Waste division. “It’s the heart of our modern machine control system and the primary interface between the operator and the machine.” The VSC.control is a robust, intuitive system built for challenging environments, such as waste management, and allows for parallel navigation of multiple tasks, simplifying machine operation. The flexibility of the system also allows it to be integrated into switch cabinets or used as a standalone control panel, giving customers various configuration options tailored to their needs.
Smart Tools for Efficiency and Maintenance
The second component of Vecoplan’s digital solution is VSC.connect, an online platform equipped with smart tools designed to improve machine efficiency and ease of maintenance. With VSC.connect, users can remotely monitor their systems, access performance data, and even carry out system start-ups online. “Our remote service allows specialists to diagnose and resolve issues from our offices, minimizing shredder downtimes,” says Wienen.
Customers also gain access to a comprehensive media database with documentation and tutorials that make machine operation and maintenance easier. These tutorials provide step-by-step visual guides for tasks such as changing cutting tips or adjusting counter knives. Together, the VSC.control and VSC.connect deliver superior efficiency and ensure machines operate at their best.
Comprehensive Dashboard and Monitoring
The VSC system includes a real-time dashboard that provides users with access to key performance indicators (KPIs), historical data, and detailed analysis tools. Integrated cameras allow for visual inspections, eliminating the need for on-site visits. The system also sends automatic notifications of malfunctions or potential issues to the digital devices of operators and production managers, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime.
Flexible Financing and Expanded Service Options
To support customers with their investment in advanced technologies, Vecoplan now offers flexible financing models, including tailored leasing options and pay-per-use agreements. “These options are particularly advantageous for companies with seasonal or irregular demand, as they only pay for actual usage,” says Wienen.
Vecoplan has also expanded its service portfolio to include maintenance packages tailored to customer needs. These programs provide preventative care and continuous monitoring to protect investments and avoid costly failures. “We focus on keeping machines and systems running smoothly, preventing breakdowns and optimizing maintenance costs for our customers,” adds Wienen.
With the launch of the Vecoplan Smart Center and its expanded service offerings, Vecoplan is enhancing machine performance and providing customers with increased flexibility, digital connectivity, and long-term support.
