On May 1, 2024, Daniel Dittmann was named Head of Operations at Vecoplan. In his new role, the 33-year-old will oversee the planning, management, and monitoring of various work processes, including production, scheduling, warehousing, dispatch, and facility management. He will also be responsible for training junior staff in technical occupations.
Dittmann’s journey with Vecoplan began in 2018 as an assistant in work scheduling. In 2019, he advanced to head of machining, where he gained valuable management experience in employee development, capacity and resource planning, investment planning, process optimization, and project implementation. Prior to joining Vecoplan, Dittmann, a trained machinist, furthered his education to become a state-certified mechanical engineer. “In my new position, I aim to propel the company forward in collaboration with other department heads,” Dittmann stated.
With this appointment, Vecoplan has finalized the restructuring of its supply chain operations. “We’ve created a clear division between Technology and Operations, focusing on two critical areas,” said CEO Werner Berens. “This prepares us for future growth.” Berens also expressed satisfaction with the restructuring process: “We successfully promoted our own staff to new leadership roles, showcasing both the quality of our personnel and our commitment to employee development at Vecoplan.”
