Valmet, a global leader in process technology, has announced the delivery of an EVO 64 Defibrator system to S. Kijchai Enterprise PCL, a prominent producer of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) in Thailand. Marking the 13th MDF line supplied by Valmet to Thailand, this order underscores Valmet’s role in advancing fiberboard production technology in the region. The order will be recorded in Valmet’s third-quarter 2024 financial results, with the specific value undisclosed.
S. Kijchai Enterprise selected Valmet based on the company’s proven expertise and innovative, environmentally conscious solutions that align with S. Kijchai’s operational values. “Valmet’s track record of high-quality products, coupled with their commitment to sustainability, makes them an ideal partner for us,” commented Mr. Harnsiri Sangwongkit, Executive Vice President of S. Kijchai Enterprise PCL. The EVO 64 Defibrator system to be supplied is part of Valmet’s second generation of EVO Defibrators, known for delivering reliable performance and premium fiber quality. The upgraded system incorporates significant advancements in energy efficiency, reducing freshwater and steam consumption in the fiber preparation process, and further strengthens Valmet’s market position as a top supplier of front-end fiberboard systems.
