Valmet will deliver a Valmet IQ Web Monitoring System (WMS) and a Valmet IQ Web Inspection System (WIS) to Metsä Tissue’s Mariestad mill in Sweden. The systems will support improved line efficiency and ensure high product quality on the existing tissue paper machine PM 35.
The order marks the first delivery of Valmet’s new generation Valmet IQ Web Monitoring System, which was launched to the market in the fourth quarter of 2025. In addition, the Valmet IQ Web Inspection System is equipped with new high performance Valmet area cameras, enabling high resolution imaging at fast web speeds. Together, these capabilities deliver exceptional image quality, precise defect detection, and long-term reliability to improve production efficiency and performance.
“At Mariestad, we’re not just building capacity – we’re setting new quality standards for European tissue production with our 145 000 tonnes of capacity.
