Ukraine and Germany have entered a significant new partnership to help rebuild and modernise Ukraine’s forestry sector, signing a Joint Statement of Intent during the international Green Week (Grüne Woche) exhibition in Berlin. The five-year agreement, which was co-signed by Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and Regional Identity, aims to enhance sustainable forest management and foster climate resilience in the Ukrainian forestry sector.
This new agreement builds on decades of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, aiming to establish a modern, economically viable, and environmentally balanced forestry sector in Ukraine.
