The Thailand International Woodworking and Furniture Exhibition 2024 (TIWF 2024) concluded successfully in Bangkok. Held at Southeast Asia’s largest exhibition venue from September 18-20, the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, the event was a remarkable platform for the woodworking and furniture industry.
TIWF 2024 offered a dynamic face-to-face exhibition and networking opportunity, enabling businesses in the woodworking and furniture sectors to connect and foster collaborations across Southeast Asia. The event featured 214 exhibiting companies from 20 countries, showcasing cutting-edge technology, machinery, equipment, materials, and solutions to over 6,286 trade visitors from 49 countries.
Highlights of TIWF 2024
A standout feature was the “Business Matching Program,” which arranged over 340 pre-scheduled meetings between exhibitors and more than 70 qualified hosted buyers. This initiative facilitated numerous business deals and partnerships.
Mr John Chan, Regional Director of the American Hardwood Export Council, Southeast Asia, remarked, “TIWF 2024 surpassed our expectations! From day one, we experienced a consistent flow of high-quality visitors. We have gathered numerous solid leads. The event also opened doors to unexpected opportunities and provided valuable insights into the markets’ unmet needs—areas where the American Hardwood Export Council can make a significant impact. We look forward to participating in the next edition!”
Similarly, Mr Guo Jinxing, Director of China Foma (Group) Co., Ltd., shared, “We too had a steady flow of quality visitors throughout the three-day exhibition. Our business meetings were incredibly productive. We met buyers from over 10 countries, and in fact, we closed some deals onsite. The activities at TIWF 2024 clearly set it apart from other events. We will definitely be back for the 2026 edition.”

The event underscored its commitment to supporting the growth of the woodworking and furniture industry in Southeast Asia. As Mr Boonchai Wangsatith, Managing Director of Sincharoen Veneer & Plywood Co., Ltd., noted, “When we first heard about TIWF 2024, we decided to join immediately, and we are pleased to have received much interest in our products during the event. The event also provided us with updates on market trends and industry knowledge.”
Mr Wei Jian, General Secretary of the China National Forestry Machinery Association (CNFMA), added, “Despite this being the first edition of TIWF, our members’ delegation has established many new business connections with local stakeholders as well as benefited from fruitful meetings with TIWF’s supporting associations. We look forward to fostering more partnerships with TIWF, which is a great platform for facilitating our members’ business network in Thailand and ASEAN.”
Future Events
In line with the regional woodworking exhibition calendar, TIWF will now be held biennially. The next edition is scheduled for September 18 to 20 September 2026 in Bangkok, promising an even larger and more impactful event.
Meanwhile, in 2025, the organisers will host the Southeast Asian Woodworking Summit 2025 on November 13 and 14 in Bangkok. With the theme “Shaping the Future of Woodworking Industry and Markets in Southeast Asia,” the summit will bring together international experts, governments, and industry leaders to address critical challenges and opportunities within the sector. Attendees will also benefit from market and factory tours included in the programme.
The success of TIWF 2024 positions it as a benchmark for woodworking and furniture industry events in Southeast Asia, showcasing a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
