The new EGGER Decorative Collection gets successful start at interzum

 Wednesday, May 31, 2017

9 grid systemThe EGGER Decorative Collection 2017-2019 was introduced to the international audience at interzum in Cologne. It is an interconnected system with 300 decors, seven new surfaces, and an expanded product range for established decor and material combinations. The wood-based materials manufacturer is supporting architects, fabricators and retailers in every project phase with comprehensive services, such as the updated VDS Online with numerous new features, the EGGER App, the new customer portal myEGGER and the sampling service.

Hubert Höglauer, Head of Marketing and Product Management Furniture and Interior Design, said, “We are more than happy with the market launch. It shows that all efforts and investments that are included in the development and introduction of such a diverse and global collection were worth it, and have brought satisfaction to our customers. The EGGER Decorative Collection is already used by our customers as an everyday tool. This is proven by the multitude of projects and references that have already made use of our new introductions.”

The EGGER Decorative Collection has been expanded to cater for an increasingly wide range of applications and styles. The more diverse collection makes it possible to combine different materials, colours, types of wood and style directions. Approximately half of the 300 decors are new developments, and existing ones have been revised.

EGGER has developed a system that provides orientation in this decor diversity. The innovative 9 Grid system, in which decors are ordered into compact grids of nine, allows for fast, direct comparison between colour tones and also groups wood types and materials by character. Decors for projects can be defined easily and efficiently.

Höglauer added, “Take the megatrend of White, for example. Had we simply arranged all of our white decors in a row it would be hard to pinpoint the correct shade. The systematic ordering in a 9 grid system facilitates comparison. The 9 Grid system is here to stay. Not only for putting order in our decor variety or as a style instrument, but also as inspiration.”

On the basis of real room settings, EGGER showed at interzum how new combinations are made with the new sample service and the digital solutions of the Virtual Design Studio VDS and how the 9 Grid can be used.
