SWOOD 2024: Revolutionary solutions for woodworking professionals unveiled

SWOOD has launched its latest version, SWOOD 2024, offering woodworking professionals an all-in-one solution to streamline design, manufacturing, and automation processes. This update introduces a range of new features and enhancements, tailored to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

New Features to Boost Design Efficiency

One of the standout additions in SWOOD Design is the Panel Cuts Feature, which simplifies the design of complex projects, such as diamond-shaped reception desks or angled panels. This feature allows users to make accurate cuts on panels at any position or angle by automatically calculating intersections and adjustments, streamlining the process and saving time.

Advanced Wood Connections with Panel Joints

SWOOD 2024 also introduces two new assembly techniques: Halved Joints and Tenon-Mortise Joints, both of which enhance wood connections. Halved joints, a technique where two pieces interlock by reducing each piece’s thickness at the overlap, can be created with ease through SWOOD’s new tools. Meanwhile, tenon-mortise joints, known for their strength and stability, now benefit from improved CNC machine integration, allowing users to adjust parameters like offset, length, and quantity for precise and efficient woodworking.

Enhanced 5-Axis Work Capabilities

The new updates offer expanded possibilities for 5-axis machining, enabling professionals to handle complex, irregular shapes with precision. SWOOD’s 3D Finishing Feature allows for detailed control over machining processes, providing customizable surface selections and tool paths. Users can also protect specific areas during machining by defining tool offsets, ensuring better control over the production process.

Automatic Edge Banding for CNC Machines

SWOOD 2024 delivers a deeper integration with CNC machine suppliers through its automatic Edge Banding Feature. This feature streamlines the edge banding process on CNC machines, integrating seamlessly with software like B-Solid and WOODWOP. Users can export all necessary edgeband information, including contour and trimming operations, to enhance production efficiency.

Automated Clamex Machining with Cutter

SWOOD 2024 simplifies the Clamex Machining Process by allowing users to automate blade machining for clamex fixings. Whether in 3-axis or 5-axis configurations, this enhancement enables consecutive actions with the same tool, reducing time and effort during production.

Streamlined Project Management with SWOOD Report Interface

This year’s update introduces a Customizable Report Interface, centralizing all project information in one place. Users can generate and access production reports, including panel lists, cutting lists, bills of materials, and more, through an intuitive, web-based interface. With customizable tables, filters, and CSV export options, the new interface enhances workflow management and makes project data easily accessible across devices.

Bringing Visions to Life

SWOOD 2024 sets a new standard for the woodworking industry, supporting professionals with advanced design, manufacturing, and automation tools. With its user-friendly interface and powerful new features, SWOOD 2024 empowers users to bring their woodworking visions to life with greater efficiency and precision.
