Swiss Krono is all set to welcome its new CEO from February 1, 2024. Peter Wijnbergen will take over the management of the Group by stepping into the role of CEO after Martin Brettenthaler, the current CEO decided to leave the charge of the office. After completing more than seven successful years as CEO of Swiss Krono Group, Martin Brettenthaler decided to pursue a new professional path in September 2023. When requested by the owner, he continued to manage the Group’s business to properly pass the baton to his appropriate successor.
Peter Wijnbergen has been a member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Krono Holding Ltd since 2022 and can look back on a long career in the wood-based materials industry, most recently as CEO of Norbord. Martin Brettenthaler will now leave the Group on January 31, 2024 on the best terms with the Group’s owner and Board of Directors.
Expressing his adoration for his long professional journey with Swiss Krono, Martin Brettenthaler said, “As a strong team, we have achieved a lot at SWISS KRONO Group over the past seven years. I would like to thank our employees, my colleagues on the Group Executive Board and the Board of Directors for their excellent and dedicated cooperation. In particular, I would like to thank SWISS KRONO’s owner, Ines Kaindl, for her trust and the opportunity to manage her family business during this time.”
The search for a successor has been initiated. By taking on the role of CEO, Board of Directors member Peter Wijnbergen will ensure continuity in the management of Swiss Krono Group and drive the Group’s further growth.
Expressing his views, Peter Wijnbergen also said, “I am delighted to take up the mantle and seamlessly ensure the management of SWISS KRONO Group. In doing so, I can count on the full support of the owner and the Board of Directors.”
