SWISS KRONO exhibits at Batimat

 Monday, November 25, 2019

With its plant in Sully-sur-Loire, SWISS KRONO is the largest producer of OSB boards in France. This year, SWISS KRONO once again had a stand at Batimat, the country’s most important construction trade fair, where visitors were treated to an exhibition of OSB board designs and uses. Site Manager Vincent Adam and his colleagues were delighted to welcome numerous visitors to SWISS KRONO’s stand. The focus of this year’s presentation was on OSB, the low-emission carrier board BE.YOND and the ONE WORLD Collection interior line. At the stand, interested visitors could experience the design possibilities of the decors with the help of augmented reality glasses. Of course, numerous samples and illustrative materials were also available for all those who prefer more classic designs as well. Another highlight was the workshop with construction expert Christian Fanguin, who provided useful insights into the assembly and processing of OSB panels to observers.

A real eye-catcher was offered to trade fair attendees even before they entered the exhibition hall. Pius Habermacher welcomed all interested visitors to the elaborately designed SWISS KRONO show truck, where they were able to get an overview of the latest floor designs and decors.

This year, the international construction fair celebrated its 60th anniversary and 30th edition. Since its founding in 1959, Batimat has been held every two years and has come to attract a large number of French and international trade visitors. The last edition in 2017 boasted a total of 130,000 visitors, a good quarter of whom came from abroad.

This year, companies of all shapes and sizes from the construction industry exhibited their products on an area of over 70,000 square meters. In addition to the 732 national exhibitors that attended this time, it is above all the 996 international exhibitors that make Batimat a hot spot for innovations and world firsts. The range of products on display is vast, with manufacturers presenting solutions for body shells, interior finishing, finishing, joinery and window construction, doors and sun-protection systems, information and communication technology, materials, machines, tools and software.

One unique element of Batimat is its close link with other important trade fairs. Interclima + Elec home & building and Ideobain are held simultaneously under the same roof. Visitors can therefore get an extensive and holistic picture of the industry by meeting current and future suppliers, viewing product demonstrations or receiving information and training on new technical solutions and regulatory changes.
