Visitors to the now-traditional “Woodtech” trade show in Warsaw, which was held from March 4-6, 2025, were especially numerous this year. Modern, effective drying technology is once again gaining traction in Poland’s woodworking and pellet industries. Another important consideration is energy consumption, in addition to drying quality.

Stefan Laxhuber started a little workshop in 1922, and he and his wife, Juliane Laxhuber, subsequently grew it into a company that sold agricultural equipment in addition to wind turbines. The founder gave the company to his son, Stefan Laxhuber after it had been successful for fifty years. Like his father before him, he dedicated many years of his life to his job with the help of his wife, Theresia Laxhuber. Like his father, he also ventured into new business ventures and turned one of them into his main offering: drying technology. stella could reflect on many years of customs and experiences. It is currently run by the third generation, which is represented by Rainer Hettwer and Thomas Laxhuber. and keeps concentrating on the most important thing: drying.
As the company keeps expanding it had to relocate to its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in 2016. Over 250 staff can be accommodated in the more than 67,000 square meters of area. In 2017 and 2018, the company was named the best in Lower Bavaria. Additionally, in 2022, Stella was recognised as the Bavarian Medium-Sized Business Award 2021/2022 winner. The 100th anniversary of Stella was commemorated in the same year.
