At DACH+HOLZ International 2026, Sonae Arauco is poised to transform the building shell landscape as the worldwide construction industry shifts to high-performance, sustainable materials. The wood-based solutions company will unveil a completely redesigned brand identity for its flagship AGEPAN® SYSTEM from February 24 to 27 in Cologne, signifying a radical turn toward the future of eco-conscious engineering.
The upcoming exhibition in Hall 7 serves as the global stage for AGEPAN’s new brand appearance. More than just a visual update, the rebranding reflects a strategic evolution. As one of the leading suppliers in the timber sector, Sonae Arauco is positioning AGEPAN® as a fresh, forward-looking partner for architects, roofers, and timber construction specialists.
Visitors to Stand 7.316 will experience a modern stand concept designed to showcase the “Building Shell” portfolio in its entirety—ranging from innovative wood fiber insulation boards to high-performance DWD and OSB products.
“Our new brand identity is a testament to our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” says the AGEPAN team. “We are presenting a dynamic face to the market that aligns with the complex requirements of 21st-century timber construction.”
Innovation remains the heartbeat of the AGEPAN® portfolio. This year’s highlight focuses on two groundbreaking solutions engineered to address critical market demands: Fire Protection and Superior Insulation.
1. AGEPAN® DWD Fire X: Redefining fire safety
In a significant leap for safety standards, the AGEPAN® DWD fire X will take center stage. This vapor-permeable MDF.RWH board is the first of its kind to offer flame-retardant properties (Classification B-s2, d0) without sacrificing ecological integrity.
- Key Advantage: It slows the spread of fire in ventilated wall constructions, providing vital protection while maintaining a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to mineral-bonded alternatives.
2. AGEPAN® THD Cover H: The high-performance underlay
For the roofing and wall sectors, the AGEPAN® THD cover H offers a “strong yet light” solution. This pressure-resistant wood fibre insulation board serves as a secondary water-shedding layer, providing excellent wind and rain protection.
- Key Advantage: Its vapor-permeable and moisture-regulating properties ensure a healthy indoor climate, while the abrasion-resistant surface makes it easier for contractors to handle on-site, saving both time and costs during installation.
Sonae Arauco’s presence at DACH+HOLZ is underpinned by its broader corporate mission to de-carbonise the construction value chain. The company recently reported a 41% reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and has committed to integrating 19% more recycled wood into its products by the end of 2026.
By utilizing wood—a renewable, recyclable raw material that stores CO2 throughout its lifecycle—AGEPAN® solutions directly contribute to the circular bioeconomy. Every board produced represents a step toward a “Material for Better Living,” bridging the gap between high-performance engineering and environmental stewardship.
The exhibition stand is designed to be more than just a product display. Sonae Arauco has planned:
- Live demonstrations: Real-time application insights into the AGEPAN® SYSTEM.
- Technical deep-dives: Direct engagement with the engineering team to discuss customised solutions for roofs, walls, and floors.
- Networking hub: A space for industry leaders to discuss the future of timber construction.
As the timber industry gathers in Cologne, Sonae Arauco’s AGEPAN® brand stands ready to prove that the future of construction is not just sustainable—it is smarter, safer, and more stylish than ever.
