Silke Gathmann becomes the new press spokeswoman for LIGNA

As of September 1, 2023, Silke Gathmann has taken on the role of press spokeswoman for LIGNA and will place an increased focus on media communications for the world’s leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing in the future. The 45-year-old business economist is an experienced trade show communicator who was Deutsche Messe’s deputy corporate spokesperson until she joined LIGNA.

Gathmann acquired her communications experience both through her ten years of PR work for HANNOVER MESSE and over the past eight years in corporate communications at Deutsche Messe, where she worked specifically in the areas of daily media relations and crisis communications.

Together with Kornelia Esch, who as LIGNA’s content manager focuses on social media activities, e-mail marketing and web content, Silke Gathmann forms LIGNA’s PR communications team and is the first point of contact for the media and PR officers at exhibiting companies.
