With another new order for a Generation 8 ContiRoll® made by Siempelkamp, VRG Dongwha MDF invests in expanding its production capacities in the Vietnamese market.
In August of 2015 Siempelkamp received another order for a new MDF ContiRoll® press line from the Vietnamese wood-based materials manufacturer VRG Dongwha MDF. The subsidiary of the Joint Venture of Donghwa International and the Vietnam Rubber Group, one of the largest wood-based panels manufacturers in Asia, had already ordered Asia‘s largest MDF line with a press length of 47 m from Siempelkamp in April 2010. This ContiRoll® press, the first of its kind in Vietnam, has been producing 20% above the contractually agreed guaranteed capacity since 2012 and the customer has been highly satisfied with its decision to purchase this press. In order to economically produce and offer a broader product range for the continuously growing Vietnamese market for wood-based panels, VRG Dongwha MDF decided to buy another ContiRoll® press (Generation 8) with a length of 25.5 m.
With the new investment, VRG Dongwha MDF aims at meeting the continuously increasing demand for thin boards in the future. The new ContiRoll® for the Vietnamese market will be able to manufacture thin MDF with a thickness ranging from 2 to 25 mm.
Siempelkamp’s scope of supply for VRG Dongwha MDF consists of, next to the resin blending and dosing system, the complete press line with an automatic storage system. Siempelkamp’s subsidiary Büttner will supply an MDF fiber dryer and sifter as well as a 48 MW energy plant. The planning and engineering of the entire plant was carried out by Sicoplan Engineering, another 100% Siempelkamp subsidiary. The contractually guaranteed yearly production capacity of this ContiRoll® of the latest design amounts to 190,000 m³.
