 Thursday, October 17, 2019

SICAM, the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories, and Semi-Finished Products for the Furniture Industry, reached new heights this year as the 11th edition kicked off at the Pordenone Exhibition Center on October 15. Over six hundred companies from 33 countries were present at the fair at their novelties in terms of design, technologies, materials and solutions. The exhibition occupied the entire Exhibition Center in which the additional pavilion 10 is installed, which was the novelty of the last edition. Over eight thousand comapnies, from more than one hundred countries around the world, were expected to visit with their top management. For years, it has been an exceptional platform to explore innovations in woodoworking industry. SICAM 2019 was already sold out just after the announcement of its 2019 edition. In the 10 pavilions of the Exhibition Centre, more than six hundred exhibiting companies have showcased their most inventive solutions, their most advanced materials, and above all, their ideas and design proposals characterised and demonstrated next year’s furniture collections.

In the sober and sophisticated atmosphere typical of SICAM in Pordenone, the most qualified professionals and the most representative global players of the furniture industry participated also this year.

It is an imposing structure built by the German Losberger, one of the world leaders in the construction of these pavilions, offering a gross area of 3,500 square meters with perimeter walls of 6.40 m in height. Because of its diversity, this exhibition is an ideal platform for manufacturers and suppliers to establish new contacts. This annual fair is open for trade visitors only.

“We are really happy” – said Carlo Giobbi in this regard, the historical patron of Sicam.

“That today we can witness this effective synergy between the city and the event: over the years, together with the Municipal Administration and the Fair, we have overcome the problems of traffic, parking and hospitality. Now we can say that Pordenone is approaching truly European levels in its services, and I hope that everyone will realize today the economic benefits that this synergy is generating in the territory, I believe.” – added Giobbi.

“A system of hospitality that constitutes a model that the city can re-propose with excellent results also on the occasion of the other international events that it hosts, from exhibitions to cultural events ” – Giobbi concluded.
